THREE GOOD REASONS TO COME NOW

For everything that
stays quieter in summer.

A pair of binoculars, a pair of warm socks and a longing for island life. Sometimes that’s all it takes for a few really good days.

In the evening, the sky opens up.

Pellworm is a recognised dark-sky island (Sterneninsel). Far from bright cities, there is a great deal to discover on clear, dark nights. Spring and autumn in particular offer good conditions for stargazing.

Wrap up warm, give your eyes time and look up. On the island’s Sternenkieker stargazing benches, it becomes an evening to remember.

A big show over the mudflats.

In spring and autumn, the Wadden Sea becomes a stopover for migrating birds. For nature lovers it is a special time: bring your binoculars, stop and watch life between sky, meadows and water.

On a guided nature walk you’ll learn more about the island’s feathered visitors. You’ll find current events at the Schutzstation Wattenmeer.

Wind outside. You inside.

Clouds race across the island and the wind roars around the house. Pellworm in winter has real power – and that makes it all the nicer to be back indoors.

A hot cup of tea in the kitchen, a book in the reading corner and an evening with nothing planned. In the Frisian house, a good holiday day doesn’t need beach weather.

A SHORT BREAK, A BIG DIFFERENCE

Three nights.
Far, far away.

You don’t always need a whole week’s holiday to get a little distance from everyday life. Norderoog can be your home from just 3 nights. Only in the peak season (July, August and from 20 December to 6 January) is the minimum stay 5 nights.

The low season, with the lowest nightly rate, runs from 1 November to 19 December and from 7 January to 31 March. April and October are shoulder season; over Christmas and New Year, from 20 December to 6 January, it is peak season.

The final cleaning is a one-off €80 per stay. You can calculate the price of your stay, including final cleaning, directly under Prices & availability. The local visitor tax is charged separately on top.

YOUR TRIP IN THE QUIETER SEASON

Autumn or winter?
How to plan your break.

In autumn: watching the outdoors.

For bird migration and clear starry nights, a flexible daily plan pays off. Binoculars, windproof clothing and a look at the weather forecast will help. Ask the provider directly about guided nature walks for your travel dates.

In winter: room for peace and quiet.

Short daylight hours suit a manageable walk around the island and a long evening in the apartment. Plan your journey and any restaurant visits using the current timetables and opening hours. With your own kitchen in Norderoog, you stay flexible when it comes to meals.

For 3 nights: choose carefully.

A short trip needs a good connection. First check your preferred dates in the calendar, then the ferry crossing. Normally 3 nights are possible; only in the peak season is the minimum 5. If your stay completely fills a free gap between two bookings, you can also enquire about a shorter one.

A winter holiday with your dog or children.

Dogs are welcome in Norderoog outside the summer, too. For a holiday with children, the private kitchen, the high chair and the travel cot on request are a help. The layout stays the same: two single beds in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room.

You’ll find more for your particular travel plans under Pellworm with your dog and Family holiday on Pellworm.
