The ferry to Pellworm starts at the port of Strucklahnungshörn on Nordstrand. If you want to take your car, book the crossing in good time with the ferry company, the Neue Pellwormer Dampfschiffahrtsgesellschaft.
For the drive to the mainland port, first enter the destination “Fähranleger Strucklahnungshörn, Nordstrand” (the ferry terminal). The address of the holiday apartment only becomes your destination once you are on the island. Current information on access and the time stated on your ticket for arriving at the terminal take precedence.
Agree your travel dates with us and check the matching ferry crossing. An enquiry for Norderoog does not reserve a place on the ferry.

2. On to Nordstrand.
There is a bus service between Husum and Strucklahnungshörn. Not every ferry crossing automatically fits every train arrival, so check the connection for your particular travel day.
3. Onwards on Pellworm.
The connecting bus links the ferry terminal with central points on the island. To get all the way to Westerschütting 5, you may also need an island taxi service. It’s best to sort out this last leg before you set off.

Our Frisian house stands by the old dyke in the south-west of Pellworm. You reach the Norderoog holiday apartment through its own entrance at the back of the house. We’ll arrange your arrival time and key handover with you personally before you travel.
Please let us know which ferry you are arriving on and whether you are travelling without a car. That way we can clear up any questions about the last leg in good time. A pick-up service is not automatically part of the booking.

Where does the ferry to Pellworm leave from?
The ferry sails to Pellworm from the port of Strucklahnungshörn on Nordstrand. Check the departure point and your date directly in the ferry company’s current travel information.
Can I take my car to the island?
Yes, Pellworm is served by a car ferry. If you want to take your car, you should book the crossing in good time. Ferry tickets and accommodation are arranged separately from each other.
Can I travel to Pellworm without a car?
Yes. You can take the train to Husum and a bus from there to the ferry terminal on Nordstrand. On Pellworm you will need to plan the last leg to the house separately; the connecting bus does not go directly to the holiday apartment.
How do check-in and key handover work?
We arrange your arrival time and the key handover with you personally before you travel. Please send us the ferry crossing you plan to take. The shared availability calendar shows possible changeover days, not fixed times for the handover.
